Out of nowhere, I had the biggest urge to do a drawing from Kingdom Hearts. As I like to say..."I got bit by the drawing bug."
Atlantica was my fave level but I know most people didn't like it since the controls were different when you had to swim but that's what I loved about it. Plus, I've always had a thing about being underwater and mermaids and stuff^_^
I originally had bubbles sketched in but as I started coloring the characters, I realized the bubbles were just too much and it made the piece look too busy so I erased them. Same with one of Ariel's arms, I had one arm up and one down but it didn't work with the composition of the piece so I put Ariel's arm behind her.
Medium: Outlined in Bic Pen
Prismacolor Colored Pencils
Prismacolor Colorless Blender
Background done in Acrylic Paint
Kingdom Hearts is copyrighted to Disney and Squaresoft. Poses and everything else is mine^_^
mmm the only thing I'd ssay is Sora has a dorsal fin like.... right near/slightly on/above his butt It's not like a big deal or anything but I guess it goes with his dolphin scheme since all the merpeople depicted have fishy scales and no other fins other than the tail fin.
Other than that I still love the way you color *steals color ability* shhhhhhhhhhhh

If you look at the angle of Sora, you'd see that one wouldn't be able to see his dorsel fin^_^ Trust me, I knew he had a fin and I was trying to see every which way to out it but because his back is arched and his butt is in the opposite direction, you wouldn't be able to see it.
Me too, I think that's why I drew it because I actually wanted to play the game but didn't want to have to go through all that work so I just drew my fave level^^
Looks great! My 4 yo says duckies are not octopusses and Goofy isn't a turtle. But she likes it too. She recognizes three of the four characters. I think the mixed media came together extremely well here.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
